How the AI works

You are never talking to a real person, and no human grades your reps. While we're testing, the people building the app do read practice conversations to see what works (what is kept).

The other person is an AI

In an AI rep, the person you text is a character played by an AI language model. It isn't a human, and it isn't a copy of any real person. It replies to what you type, so no two reps go the same way.

Its reactions are generated

When a partner gets bored or leaves, that's the model reacting to the chat so far, not someone pressing a button. It's steered to act like a person would, but it's still software: it can misread you, react oddly, or repeat itself.

Scores are AI too

The six scores and the feedback come from AI reading the conversation back. They're a useful read, not a clinical or professional assessment of you, and they won't always be right.

Scripted scenes are not AI

"Play a scene" (no key needed) is written in advance: you pick from set lines, and every ending is written too. No AI runs there.

What it's for

Low-stakes practice before a real conversation, including the hard parts like someone losing interest. It isn't a substitute for real relationships or professional support. If you need that, see If you're struggling.
